We've got another fun week planned this week, as we've got our field trip on Tuesday and field day on Friday. Hopefully we'll have nice weather on both days.
As the end of the school year approaches, we will be starting to wrap up units of study and review what we have learned this year.
Reading : At the beginning of the year, we focused on ways to decode tricky words, and then we moved on to discussing ways to comprehend various kinds of text. Writing : Now that we've wrapped up our poetry unit, we're going to go back and do some more nonfiction writing. The students will be creating their own nonfiction, all about books on topics of their choice.
Math : For the rest of the school year, we're going to spend time revisiting what we've learned in math this year and building upon it. The students now have a very strong base of mathematical knowledge and understanding, so we will take what we've learned about so far and dive a little deeper.
Science : To finish up the rest of the school year, we will be focusing on two habitats - the ocean and the rain forest.
